Procedures at a Crime Scene
There are a number of set procedures which are in place, designed to be followed by all individuals who are involved in an investigation at a crime scene. These procedures are in place to ensure that the case is handled correctly, that evidence is collected and preserved to ensure no contamination occurs and also to ensure that if a case goes to court, any convictions of a guilty individual will be obtained without argument regarding the reliability and value of evidence that has been collected, that may indicate the guilt of an individual.
